A Book is Afoot
Being a creative entrepreneur is a blessed vocation—you’re being paid to fulfill your passion! When your talents are significant enough to sell, it’s a big deal. But is it an easy way of life? Far from it.
The creative entrepreneur’s business journey is fraught with conflict, from the internal struggles of imposter syndrome and perfectionism to the external forces of competing in a 24-7 global marketplace. According to The Association for Entrepreneurship, just under 88% of entrepreneurs reported a strain on their mental health. For creative entrepreneurs, the pressure can feel even higher. Their artistry-based businesses are directly linked to their head, hands, and heart.
In my book-in-progress The Moments Between the Milestones: Living with Uncertainty as a Creative Entrepreneur, I will unpack the torrent of emotions faced by artistic people in business for themselves. Providing insightful commentary and practical exercises, Moments will encourage professional creatives to harness the talents they are using today, and use them to fuel a fulfilling tomorrow.
